摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal substrate for a fuel cell improving corrosion resistance while maintaining electric conductivity. <P>SOLUTION: This metal substrate has a surface susceptible to passivation by forming oxides in the presence of oxygen, and is susceptible to electrically conductive corrosion. The manufacturing method of the metal substrate includes a process for removing the oxides present from the surface such that the surface is overlaid with an electrically conductive coating material including one or more elements from Groups 4, 5, 10 or 11 of the Periodic Table; and a process for then applying corrosion-resistant electrically conductive polymer-based coating so as to coat the coating including the one or more elements on the surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
