<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer peeling mechanism capable of appropriately peeling a two-component developer carried and conveyed on a developer carrier. <P>SOLUTION: The developer peeling mechanism includes: repulsion electrodes A composed of adjacent magnetic electrodes having the same pole among a plurality of magnetic poles arranged in the developer carrier 1; and a release guide member 2 which is disposed between and opposite the repulsion electrodes A without being in contact with the repulsion electrodes A and has a guide face 21 by which the two-component developer G peeled by the repulsion electrodes A is guided downstream. The developer peeling mechanism satisfies the relation of θ≥50°, wherein θis an angle between the guide face 2a and a straight line passing through the end of the guide face 2a of the release guide member 2, which end is located on the side of the developer carrier 1, and extending outward in the radial direction of the developer carrier 1. Alternatively, the end of the guide face 2a of the release guide member 2, which end is on the side of the developer carrier 1, is disposed between the repulsion magnetic poles A and downstream of a minimum magnetic-force position B in the direction in which the developer on the developer carrier 1 is conveyed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
