<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the setup and the control of a condenser such as a capacitor in a fixing device of an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, which uses a heating device equipped with the electric storage device such as the capacitor as a sub power source. <P>SOLUTION: Power is supplied to the secondary heating element 2b of a heating part 2 from the capacitor C of an auxiary power source device 4, thereby preventing temperature drop of a fixing roller 40 during continuous paper delivery. The charge target value of the capacitor C and discharge start permissible range from the capacitor C are set to 30 to 44V, for example, and discharge time leading to a discharge finish value such as 20V, for example, is set to be equal to or above maximum time when a reading unit for reading the image of an original can continuously read an original of 100 sheets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
