<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the reliability of connection of a cover to an outer ring. <P>SOLUTION: In this rotation transmitting device, a two-way roller clutch 20 is provided between an input side member 1 and the outer ring 4, and an electromagnetic clutch 40 controlling the engagement and disengagement of the two-way roller clutch 20 is covered with a cover 5 connected to the opening end part of the outer ring 4. A projecting part 8 is provided on the end face opposite to the outer ring 4 of the cover 5, the projecting part 8 is fitted to a cutout part 9 formed in the end face of the outer ring 4 to thereby perform whirl-stop for the cover 5, and a ring groove 11 is formed between the inner periphery of the opening end part of the outer ring 4 and the inner periphery of the projecting part 8.
