<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight, inexpensive, and reliable automatic solar light following-up device that is constituted to enable the elevation angle and the azimuth in the east-west direction of the light receiving surface of a solar battery panel to follow up the sun in order to improve the power generation efficiency of a solar battery. <P>SOLUTION: The elevation angle of the solar battery panel is adjusted by constituting the top edge of the panel in a vertically movable state and the azimuth in the east-west direction of the panel is adjusted by constituting the top edge of the panel in a rotatable state. In addition, the bottom edge of the panel is constituted to flexibly follow the adjustment of the top edge. The power for vertically moving the top edge of the solar battery panel is exerted from a lifting carriage containing a reduction gear using a warm gear and a lifting carrier is raised or lowered by using a spiral shaft. The adjustment of the azimuth of the top edge of the solar battery panel is performed by means of an azimuth following-up device mounted on the lifting carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
