PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-developable photosensitive material having high density, free of faulty conveyance and occurrence of density unevenness during heat development, excellent in prevention of rise of fog with time, excellent in image preservability during hot holding, and excellent also in film conveyability and environmental suitability, and to provide an image forming method. SOLUTION: The heat-developable photosensitive material has on a support an image forming layer containing an organic silver salt, silver halide, a binder and a reducing agent, wherein when the ten-point average roughness of the outermost surface of the image forming layer side is represented by Rz(E) and the ten-point average roughness of the outermost surface of the side of the support opposite to the side of the image forming layer by Rz(B), a value of Rz(E)/Rz(B) is 0.1-0.7. The heat-developable photosensitive material is exposed with a laser having a luminescence peak intensity at 350-450 nm as an exposure light source to form an image. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
