PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective case 10 for a hard disk drive 1 including a connector 4 on a front face 3 of a disk drive body 2, capable of reliably protecting the connector 4 so as to prevent it from coming into contact with other objects while carried. SOLUTION: A case body 11 consists only of an upper surface plate 12, right and left side face plates 13 and 13, and a rear face plate 15, and has a front face and a lower face opened. The hard disk drive 1 can be inserted from the front of the case body 11 in a fore-and-aft slidable manner to prevent the drive 1 from dropping downward from the front face 3. The case body 11 is equipped with a removal limiting means for limiting the accidental removal of the hard disk drive 1 outward from the front of the case body 11 while the drive 1 is put in the body 11.
