PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of noise by allowing to widen a distance between a worm wheel and a worm shaft by the reaction force applied to the worm shaft. SOLUTION: An electric power steering device for performing the steering support by driving an electric motor 4 according to the operation of a steering member 1 comprises a worm wheel (a driven gear) 52, a worm shaft (a driving gear) 51 which is engaged with the worm wheel 52 and connected to a rotary shaft of the motor, and a housing 18 to rotatably support both ends of the worm shaft 51 via bearings 25 and 26.
