PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headrest for a wheelchair which can be folded under a fitted state even when the headrest device is fitted on a folding wheelchair, and also, for which a position adjustment of a pillow section can be performed by a simple operation. SOLUTION: This headrest device 10 is constituted of a base section 15 which is fitted on a curved section 5 on the left side, a vertical stay section 20 which projectes upward from the base section 15, a lateral stay section 25 which is connected from the distal end of the vertical stay section 20 to the right side direction, and the pillow section 60 which is provided on the lateral stay section 25. The base section 15 is constituted in a manner to have two sheets of a left pinching plate 16a and a right pinching plate 16b which pinch the curved section 5 from both of the right and left sides. The vertical stay section 20 is constituted of a first vertical stay section 21 which projectes upward from the base section 15 and a second vertical stay section 22 which is connected with the distal end of the first vertical stay section 21, and at the same time, is connected with the lateral stay section 25. A stretchable section 30 is provided at the projecting position of the first vertical stay section 21 from the base section 15, and a joint section 35 is provided on the second vertical stay section 22 above the stretchable section 30.
