The method involves actuating a lever to release a jet of water (20) from a hot water fitting. The water flows into a mixing chamber (7) based on the lever position, and is cold/proportionately hot or cold/hot. Temperature range of the water is found by red, blue and green LEDs based on water temperature in the chamber. The water flowing via the LEDs will flow out in respective colors of the LEDs based on the found temperature. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method of creating colored water flow for a hot water fitting.
