A reverse osmosis sea water desalination plant has a liquid nitrogen tank and evaporator creating compressed nitrogen gas to drive the reverse osmosis process to deliver drinking water. The assembly liberates heat which is surrendered to the sea water. The progressive reduction of sea water in the sea water tank is replaced by incoming compressed nitrogen. Subsequently, nitrogen is released to a buffer tank for further use in the regulator, control valve, transport of sea water or drinking water. The nitrogen is supplied by rectification of air in an air- or solar powered assembly.
|
