The device has a material container with a conveyor in its lower part, which can be fitted and removed. The container (2) has an opening with a cover (20), and is filled with a liquid, e.g. water, which can be removed from the container via a connection (22a,b,23). The connection is located on the cover or on a container wall (24). The container has a mainly horizontal holder plate supporting a pump (28). The device is mounted on a vehicle.
