Invention concerns the branch of powder metallurgy. Method of obtaining the powder of tungsten consisting in that the oxygen-containing compounds of tungsten are heated to the reduction temperature and the reduction is conducted in the hydrogen-vapormedium with the ratio of water content to the content of hydrogen within the range of 0.70-0.85 parts by volume.
