EXHAUST CLEANER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an oxidation catalyst device installed in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine to surely burn particles in exhaust collected on its downstream side by effective burning of fuel fed to the oxidation catalyst device even in exhaust of a relatively low temperature.

SOLUTION: The oxidation catalyst device 12 and a particulate collecting filter 13 are installed one by one from an upstream side in the exhaust passage 11 of a diesel engine 10. Fuel is fed into the oxidation catalyst device 12 when a weight ratio of Pt and Pd carried by the oxidation catalyst device 12 is 0.05≤Pd/(Pt + Pd)≤0.75 and when temperature rising of the particle collecting filter 13 is required.
