MEDIA ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM AND STATION

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of using a network ID to particularize a network and transmitting a unicast frame to a particular station of the network and carrying out unicast response to the frame even when the particular station such as a control station cannot be identified or the address is not known.

SOLUTION: The media access control system uses the network ID solely set to each logical network to particularize the logical network, negotiates a transmission/reception process using a destination address field of a frame and a network ID frame to attain transmission of the unicast frame to the control station and response to the unicast with respect to the frame. Or the media access control system uses a field for designating a function to attain unicast transmission to a function station solely in existence in the logical network.
