PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of reliability, to reduce cost by reducing the number of parts, and to reduce the investment of dies, equipment and the like in a guide system of an optical pickup to a traverse base without using a guide shaft. SOLUTION: In a disk mechanism of this disk apparatus provided with a rotating means placing a disk and rotating it, a reading means reading information of the disk or reading and writing information, and a feeding means moving a position of the reading means, a drive rack made of a material having elasticity and a high sliding property is guided to the traverse base, further, a resin spring suppressing backlash is constituted integrally in the drive rack, and the reading means is engaged to the drive rack at a shaft hole of the main shaft.
