PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer conveyance device in which toner sticking to a transfer conveyance belt is surely removed and cloud toner, which occurs at both ends of a cleaning member, is easily prevented from re-sticking to the transfer conveyance belt. SOLUTION: The transfer conveyance device 1 includes the endless transfer conveyance belt 3 which holds and conveys a recording sheet P for the transfer of a toner image such that the recording sheet P is passed through the transfer position of an image carrier 2 rotating with the toner image T held on it. In the transfer conveyance device 1, the relation of Wc>Ws>Wi and Wb≥Ws are established, wherein Wc is the width of the cleaning member 5 perpendicular to the rotating direction B of the belt, Wb is the width of the transfer conveyance belt 3 perpendicular to the rotating direction B, and Ws is the width of a support member (4A) perpendicular to the rotating direction B of the belt, the support member (4A) being one of the support members 4 for the transfer conveyance belt 3 and disposed opposite the cleaning member 5 with the transfer conveyance belt 3 between them, and Wi is the width of the image holding effective area perpendicular to the rotating direction A of the image carrier 2.
