PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten iron pretreatment method by which dephosphorization speed can sufficiently be improved at a low cost and further, a problem of the defect of an opening hole part (torpedo hole) of a mixer car can easily be solved. SOLUTION: The molten iron pretreatment method is provided for the desiliconization and the dephosphorization by blowing oxidizing agent from a lance dipped into the molten iron in the mixer car, wherein two main lances are inserted and dipped so as to be mutually faced, and the oxidizing agent quantity from the main lances is reduced at the step of the dephosphorizing reaction end stage and also, the dipping depths of these main lances are made further deeper and the blowing is continued.
