PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary roll brush which is improved in cooling effect by guiding cooling water from water outlets of a rotary shaft into a gutter shape channel spirally wound around the rotary shaft to pass the cooling water through brush materials retained in the channel. SOLUTION: A channel shape brush 1 formed by cramping and retaining base parts of brush materials 2 by a gutter shape channel 4 is spirally wound around a rotary shaft 7 so as to discharge cooling water 11 discharged from outlets 10 of the rotary shaft 7 by rotary centrifugal force of the rotary shaft 7. A number of outlets 17 are bored in the longitudinal direction in the bottom plate of the gutter shape channel 4 and placed between brush bundles 2a partitioned by claw pieces 6. The cooling water 11 discharged from the outlets 10 of the rotary shaft 7 is guided into the gutter shape channel 4 between the brush bundles 2a through outlets 17 of the gutter shape channel 4.
