An apparatus and method for remote identity verification and remote location determination of a person, utilized for restriction order monitoring and reporting. The apparatus automatically verifies the identity of a monitored person by utilizing voice identification technologies, or biometrics technologies. The apparatus generates a phone call to a pre-defined telephone number associated with the monitored person. During the performance of the call the identity of the monitored person is verified. The location of the monitored person is further determined by basic phone number identification methods identification or by cellular communication network-specific location or by global positioning technology technology. The results of the monitoring are transmitted to the proper authorities. |
