Mold comprises: a support portion inside the mold, and in which a ceramic member is placed so that the surface to be in contact with a molten metal (44) is facing upward; and a joining portion with a predetermined capacity provided between the surface of the ceramic member to be in contact with the molten metal and an inner wall of the mold, and into which the molten metal is poured and filled. Independent claims are given for: (a) a mold comprising the support member and first and second joining portions; and (b) methods for manufacturing a metal-ceramic composite member.
