The transmitter has a microphone for picking up an acoustic signal and a transmitter for transmitting an electromagnetic signal. The device also includes a signal processor for extracting a curve envelope from the detected acoustic signal and for providing a signal curve envelope for the transmitter such that the envelope can be transmitted electromagnetically. Independent claims also cover a hearing aid with such a device.
