<p>A switch mechanism (3) comprises within a housing (7) at least one set of contacts comprising at least one fixed contact (9) and at least one moveable contact (11), which is carried by an axially moveable carrier (13) spring loaded to maintain the sets of contacts apart, and an operating mechanism (23,25) for the axially moveable carrier, which operating mechanism is disposed adjacent one end of the carrier and is operable to pull the axially moveable carrier towards it and thereby pull the at least one moveable contact into engagement with the at least one fixed contact. <IMAGE></p> |
