Receiver for an optical HF-signal transmission link

The receiver has a beam divider (13a) for dividing a received optical signal into two sub-beams that are directed at first and second photodiodes (PD1,PD2). There is a first arrangement (-Vb, +Vb) for biasing the photodiodes into the blocking region, and a second device (13) for applying an oscillator frequency to the photodiodes. An output amplifier (12) produces an intermediate frequency (IF) signal. An Independent claim is also included for a broadband receiver with several receiver channels.
