摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact type tonometer capable of smoothly measuring intraocular pressure in synchronism with a phase of a pulsation period. SOLUTION: This noncontact type tonometer has a fluid injection means for injecting fluid into an optometrical eye by receiving an injection signal, and measures the intraocular pressure on the basis of detecting a deformation state of an optometrical cornea by injection of the fluid. The tonometer has a pulsation detecting means having a pulsation detector for detecting pulsation in the vicinity of an eyeball of a subject, an instruction signal input means for inputting an intraocular pressure measurement execution instruction signal, a measuring timing determining means being a measuring timing determining means for determining the measuring timing for outputting the injection signal on the basis of a detecting result by the pulsation detecting means so that intraocular pressure measurement synchronizes with an expected phase position of the pulsation of the subject, and determining the measuring timing corresponding to a certain pulsation of the subject on the basis of a detecting result of pulsation generated further before the pulsation generated just before, and a control means for controlling output of the injection signal on the basis of the determined measuring timing and input of the instruction signal.
