The present invention describes a method for controlling and inhibiting growth, sporulation and synthesis of fungi mycotoxins in grains by naphthaleneacetic acid or any salt therefrom. The method effectively controls and inhibits the mycotoxins production in basic grains (corn, wheat, sorghum, soy, etc) and oleaginous grains (peanut, nuts, pistachios, pine nuts, macadamia), thereby preventing the same from the production, store, process and transportation of mycotoxins without altering the food properties.
