The device used by the surgeon for getting access to the anal region of a patient comprises a first disk (10) with four radial positioned straight slots (14) and a handle (18) protruding from its outer edge. A second disk (20) with radial positioned curved slots (24) is located on top of the first (10). Small carriages (30) with spreading elements axial positioned on top can be moved towards the outer edge of the device when the two disks (10, 20) are rotated in relation to each other.
