In a rectilinear-motion bearing comprising a track member 10 carrying a panel, door or window 11 and supported by balls 12 freely movable on the arcuate upper surface of a rail 15, rollers 13 are mounted on axles 14 secured to each end of the track member 10. The balls 12 have point contacts with shoulders 18 formed within the member 10. In a modification the rollers 14 are of the same diameter as the balls 12.</p> |
