The design provides for light from the source (52) to be coupled into the end face (46) of the optical conductor (38) which is away from the vehicle. This conductor has the same length as the light exit opening (3). The light is guided towards the end face (44) lying closer to the vehicle. A further additional light source (54) radiates its light transversely with respect to the direction of travel, angled towards the rear.
