Connection of profiles

Profile connection comprises two metal, especially aluminum profile rods (11, 12), each provided with an undercut profile groove (13, 14). A threaded sleeve (18) with a through bore is screwed into the profile groove (13) of the first profile rod (11). A connecting screw (15) penetrates the threaded sleeve with its screw shaft. A thrust bearing part (20) acting as a threaded nut for the connecting screw is inserted into the profile groove (14) of the second profile rod (12). The threaded sleeve has a thread bulging section, which is designed for forming a thread in the profile groove of the first profile rod without chip removal. An independent claim is also included for a threaded sleeve for use in the above profile connection.
