A machining system (10) for saving the labor by automating changing of a tool rest, comprising a chamfering machine (11), and an automatic tool changing machine (12) disposed on the side of the chamfering machine (11). The automatic tool changing machine (12) comprises a tool magazine (15) fixed with a plurality of tool rests (16) removably, and a change arm (18) disposed between the magazine (15) and the chamfering machine (11) in order to change the tool rest (16). In front of a rotary machine (25) disposed rotatably in the body (21) of the chamfering machine (11), three saddles (28) are arranged movably in the radial direction. Each saddle (28) is provided with a tool rest (16) which can be changed by means of the automatic tool changing machine (12). Each tool rest (16) is provided with a tool where a tip for edge chamfering the outer or inner end part of a steel pipe (22) or surface machining the axial end face of the steel pipe is fixed changeably.
