A disposable diaper (1) (disposable wearing article) is constructed from a liquid-permeable front surface sheet (2) and a non liquid-permeable back surface sheet (3), a liquid- absorbing core (4) provided between the front and back surface sheets (2, 3), a non liquid-permeable leakage prevention sheet (16), and a stretchable sheet (20). In the diaper (1), those portions of the sheets (2, 3, 16, 20) that are laid over each other are fixed to each other through adhesives (11, 14, 23), and the core (4) is fixed to the inner surfaces of the front and back surface sheets (2, 3) through the adhesives (11, 14). In the diaper (1), the adhesives (11, 14, 23) form adhesive lines continuously extending in a predetermined direction, and each of the lines has a first portion and second portion that are alternately arranged in a predetermined direction. The amount of the adhesives (11, 14, 23) at the first portion is greater than the amount of the adhesives (11, 14, 23) at the second portion. |
