When sheet materials are layered and cut, they are melt-joined vertically by applying heat to them, where the heat is produced by sticking a knife or an awl into the materials through a cutting line or a portion slightly outside the line or into a seam allowance portion and moving them up and down. Even layered sheet materials with low air permeability can be cut precisely while they are prevented from turning over or slipping.
