摘要 <p>A movable rod (12) for ringing the bell is pivotally connected to the bell seat (10) by an axle (11) and this rod is also connected to a spring (13). A foot (16) protruding from the seat periphery has a circular tooth profile (160) for engaging with a corresponding profile (170) on the end of a clamp (17) for securing to the handlebars. A bolt (18) is screwed through two aligned locking holes in the middle of the two tooth profiles in order to fix the clamp to the foot. The bell body (20) contains a hammer (23) on a spring (22) and has a central shaft (21) extending through a hole in the centre of a cover piece (33), a hole in the centre of a transmission part (30) beneath the cover piece and a hole in the centre of the seat so that the transmission part can be rotated around the shaft. The transmission cooperates with a tooth profile (120) on the movable rod for ringing the bell so that when this rod is moved, the transmission and cover piece are rotated, causing the bell body to turn and the hammer to strike against a block (14) protruding from the edge of the seat. A disc (31) located above the transmission part and beneath the cover piece contains slanting grooves (310) and each groove contains a ball bearing (32) so that rotation of the transmission part causes the bearings to move along the grooves until they stop against the cover piece and then when the transmission part is rotated further the cover piece is rotated and the bell body is rotated with it. Releasing the movable rod causes it to spring back into its original position, the transmission part rotates in the reverse direction and the ball bearings are not stopped by the cover piece, therefore the central shaft and bell body do not rotate in the reverse direction. A transparent cap (50) is secured to the bottom side of the seat and to the opposite end of the central shaft to the bell body. A dynamo (40) for generating power and light is formed by a coil (42) and a magnet (41), the coil being secured to a foot (52) on the cap and the magnet being secured to a sleeve protruding! from the seat base. LED's (45) are connected to a positive electrode plate (43) and a large number of negative electrode plates (44) extending around the coil. Mounting plates in the dynamo are secured to the foot of the cap. The magnet is located inside the coil so that the latter rotates with the central shaft and so that the cap is rotated in order to generate power and light.</p>
