A translucent lighting panel for a luminaire, which panel is located in front of a light source inside the luminaire. The panel has a profiled surface in order to prevent transmitted light from radiating in undesired directions. One side of the panel is provided with protrusions (1) having a substantially conical surface that tapers away from the base portion (2) of the protrusions (1), i.e. the protrusions (1) extend in a direction away from the panel. The apex angle of the substantially conical surface of the protrusion (1) is between 100° and 120°.
