The invention relates to a device for working at heights which comprises at least two main posts (10) supporting functional elements (30, 40) and is characterised in that the main posts (10) are embodied in the form of extruded profiles and comprise at least one external lateral surface (12, 14) of the main post (10) provided with means (12,14) for lock fixing the functional elements (30, 40) by locking and the internal space (11) of the main post containing jointing elements (60, 50) which make it possible to assembly, by means of a main post (10) profile, a growing device for working at heights which is embodied in the form of a ladder, a step-ladder, a scaffold or an automobile elevator. Said invention makes it possible to advantageously carry out overhead works by ensuring the safety, reducing operating time and improving a user comfort.
