The apparatus has a rudder (12) fixed to a molded part (10) presenting a U-shaped vertical section, where the rudder is controlled by a rod. Each wing of the molded part comprises of an opening receiving a vertical pivoting axle (11) of the rudder. A mast tenon of the rudder is fixed to the pivoting axle by a rising axle permitting to raise the rudder. The pivoting axle presents a limber hole in which the tenon is engaged. An independent claim is also included for a catamaran including a molded part with a rear beam.
