The invention relates to a parking system used, in particular for surface in-line parking on streets in order to increase the number of parking places. The inventive system comprises an independent modular structure (1) for each double parking place provided with a lower platform (2) which is displaceable on the plane thereof and a top vertically displaceable platform (3). Said lower platform (2) and the frame of the movable structure (1) are displaceable along guides (4) which are transversally fixed to a road. When the frame progresses, the lower platform (2) remains fixed, thereby enabling the top platform (3) to go down to the ground for loading or unloding a vehicle. In order to load or unload the vehicle, the entire superstructure forwards and afterwards returns.
