AIR-GAP SWITCH

A switching device is provided having an air-gap switch 204 an electrical load. The switching device can include a switch keycap 206 figured for controlling the switching of the electrical load. A faceplate 80 can be configured to surround the switch keycap 206. In addition, an air-gap actuat or 204 can be contained substantially within the switch keycap 206. The air-gap actuator 204 can be pulled from the switch keycap 206 to short out an electrical connection to the electrical load.
