Packets, which are to be transmitted, from a transmitter apparatus are temporarily stored in a packet buffer. A common information extraction part extracts common information from among the to-be-transmitted packets stored in the packet buffer. An aggregate packet structuring part aggregates a plurality of to-be-transmitted packets stored in the packet buffer into a single aggregate packet and also aggregates the common information into a single set of information, thereby further reducing the size of the aggregate packet. In this way, the plurality of to-be-transmitted packets can be aggregated into the single aggregate packet, and in the case of transmitting this aggregate packet to a receiver apparatus, the further reduced size of the aggregate packet allows the transmission efficiency to be improved.
