The fuel pump control device in a fuel supply apparatus having a displacement fuel pump and a fuel pressure regulating unit installed in a fuel line from the fuel pump to the fuel injection device of a fuel injection engine and regulating a fuel pressure to a specified pressure, comprising a drive pulse generating unit generating drive pulses for driving the fuel pump and a control unit controlling a drive frequency, which is the frequency of the drive pulses, to drive the fuel pump asynchronously with the fuel injection device according to a fuel injection amount by the fuel injection device operated in synchronism with the stroke of the engine. The device is desirably be so formed as to acquire parameters related to the fuel injection amount by the fuel injection device and set the drive frequency according to the acquired parameters.
