PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector 10 in which deformation of shells 20, 22 can be prevented, even when height lowering of 2 mm or less is made. SOLUTION: In the electric connector 10 which is provided with a plurality of contacts 16, a housing 12 having fitting parts 24 to which the contacts 16 are held/fixed as well as counter parts are fitted, and which is provided with shells 20, 22 covering the housing 12, a prescribed numbers of engaging parts 23 of nearly L-shape of integrated structure with the shells 20 are installed at prescribed positions in the longitudinal direction of one of the shells 20.
