PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone whereby letters can be inputted with the fewest number of times of key depression as possible without much modifying how to enter letters by ten-keys of the mobile phone, that is, without applying fundamental revision to the letter entry method with which people are familiar. SOLUTION: The mobile phone is configured such that a sensor is provided to at least five positions of a key "1" of the ten-keys and information items corresponding to "a", "i", "u", "e", "o" (represented in Japanese syllabary) are assigned to the sensors at the five positions, and the information of any of "a", "i", "u", "e", "o" is entered to a control means of the mobile phone depending on the any positional operation of the key "1" corresponding to the positions of the sensors of "a", "i", "u", "e", "o".
