PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump maintaining the function of an opening for letting water (water vapor) out and preventing infiltration of water, muddy water or the like into parts of a ball bearing. SOLUTION: A cover 7 is provided on a rotating part, lies axially outside of a flange portion 3b and covers the portion of the opening 12 and a guide groove 8 is formed in an inner surface of the cover 7 for discharging water leaked from an inside.
