PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material feeder that has a simple constitution and can certainly take out sheet materials from a stacked bundle of the sheet materials one by one. SOLUTION: A pick up roller 42 is contacted with the uppermost lithographic printing plate 20A, and is reversely rotated so that a force in the direction opposite to the conveyance direction acts. The rear ends of lithographic printing plates 20 contact with a rear end guide plate 34 to limit their movement, so that the lithographic printing plate 20A and slip sheet 22A bend, the lithographic printing plates 20 and slip sheets 22 other than them rise, and they are separated.
