PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To join a new beam to an existing beam causing no lowering of tensile strength and rigidity without using a reinforcing hardware inferior in appearance. SOLUTION: In this beam joint structure 1, fitting grooves 4a, 4a united when a pair of beam members 2, 2 abut each other, to form a fit-in hole 5a, are provided at the respective ends of the pair of beam members 2, 2, and fitting grooves 4b, 4b united when the pair of beam members 2, 2 abut each other, to form a fit-in hole 5b, are provided at the respective ends of the pair of beam members 2, 2. In a state of the pair of beam members 2, 2 abutting each other at the end faces, joint plates 3a, 3b are fitted into the fit-in holes 5a, 5b, and the joint plates 3a, 3b are bonded to the pair of beam members 2, 2 to bond the pair of beam members 2, 2 to each other through the joint plates 3a, 3b.
