METHOD FOR PRODUCING CUPROUS OXIDE PLATE, AND PHOTOVOLTAIC DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cuprous oxide plate by which a low resistivity cuprous oxide can be obtained without effecting the environment by a simple process.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the cuprous oxide plate has a temperature raising process comprising arranging a copper plate in a furnace and raising the temperature in the furnace to a temperature lower than the melting point of copper, an oxidation process for obtaining the cuprous oxide plate by oxidizing the copper plate at a temperature lower than the melting point of the cuprous oxide in an inert gas containing oxygen, and a cooling process for lowering the temperature in the furnace, then taking the cuprous oxide plate out of the furnace when the temperature becomes 450-700°C, and further cooling the cuprous oxide plate.
