<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge in which miniaturization is achieved and the process cartridge can be attached/detached to/from the image forming apparatus in a reduced space, and to provide an image forming apparatus in which the process cartridge is disposed and miniaturization is achieved. <P>SOLUTION: The housing 50 of the process cartridge 19 comprises an upper frame 51 supporting a photoreceptor drum 21 so that it is freely rotated, and a lower frame 52 supporting the upper frame 51 integrally with the photoreceptor drum 21. The drum shaft 33 of the photoreceptor drum 21 is vertically movably supported in a bearing part 62 in the shape of a long hole which are formed in the lower frame 52. Thus, the drum shaft 33 is vertically moved in the long holes of the bearing part 62. Accordingly, the interference of the photoreceptor drum 21 with other members disposed in a path used for attachment or detachment can be avoided by the movement of the photoreceptor drum 21 at the time of attachment/detachment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
