<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly supply a program that a user needs, thus allowing installation associated with program licensing and billing problems to proceed smoothly. <P>SOLUTION: A user requests a list of programs usable in his computer from a program provider storing programs to be downloaded, and receives the list (S405). The user designates the desired program from the list of programs, requests program use related information (including whether or not there is program licensing, price of program licensing, and expiration date of program licensing) from the provider, and receives this information (S406).
