<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording material which user internal voids of a porous silica thin film. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording material consists of a thin film of a composite structure, in which a surface-active substance, including a peptide structure comprising an L- or D-amino acid or a sugar structure comprising a monosaccharide and a photochromic compound, are contained within porous silica having a regular structure of nanometer size. The composite structure thin film is manufactured, by bringing a sol-gel reactive solution containing the surface-active substance and photochromic compound into a sol-gel reaction, and carrying out thin film formation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
